Working under the supervision of the Manager, the accountant has direct responsibility for their field of expertise, which includes analysis, reporting, invoicing, accounts payables, account receivables, and vendor qualification. In larger companies, these duties are separated because of the volume of work involved. In smaller companies, one accountant might perform all of these duties. Accountants and financial analysts do the day-to-day work necessary to keep your companys books in order. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the departments goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and report accurate, timely financial statements and metrics through account reconciliations, audits, regulatory filings, and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies by staying current on legislation and guiding management
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business insights for special reports
  • Maintain proper accounting controls and security of financial data through system backups and process documentation
  • Support accounting functions including payments, transaction verification, balance sheet preparation, and communication of accounting procedures

Role

  • Oversee audits and financial reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy and timeliness, including implementing new audit system, directing audits, and producing financial statements and budgets
  • Analyze financial data and performance to provide insights and recommendations to management on status, forecasts, goal-setting, and improvements to systems and procedures
  • Maintain proper inventory levels through analysis, reporting, monitoring transactions, and partnering with relevant teams
  • Document policies and procedures, maintain project logs, and contribute to special projects for department and organization as assigned

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to ₦100,000.00 per month
