Our Edtech platform is designed to provide students with the resources and support they need to embark on their higher education journey and help universities engage with prospective students seamlessly. OVERVIEW As the Business Development Manager for UAPP based in Lagos, Nigeria, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic direction, operations, and growth initiatives of our organization within the country. This role demands a visionary leader with extensive experience in the education sector, strong business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in the field of education. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the companys strategic plan, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Provide visionary leadership to inspire and motivate the team towards achieving company goals and objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities for business growth and expansion within the education sector in Nigeria.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement effective systems and processes to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate company performance and drive continuous improvement.
Business Development:
  • Lead business development efforts to acquire new clients and expand the companys client base.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement effective strategies for client acquisition and retention.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to empower team members and enhance their skills and capabilities.

Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability and prudent resource allocation.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, cost management, and revenue diversification.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Represent the company as a thought leader and advocate for education reform and innovation in Nigeria.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote the companys brand and thought leadership.
Marketing Engagement:
  • Represent the company as a pioneer of world-class education and convey the message of Education for All.
  • Assist in developing strong marketing campaigns according to the needs of Nigerian students, parents, and schools/colleges.
  • Accommodate with frequent webinars and seminars required to raise brand awareness among the people.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred in the education sector, with a track record of success in driving business growth and managing complex operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with a deep understanding of the Nigerian education landscape.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial management, budgeting, and business development skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of students and communities in Nigeria.
