Data Center Manager - Payment Switch

  • JOB PURPOSE:

The Data Center Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and security of the companys data center infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, optimal performance, and compliance with industry standards to support the companys payment processing services. The Data Center Manager will also lead a team of IT professionals and coordinate with external vendors to maintain and improve data center operations.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical/Operations duties
  • Oversee daily operations of the data center, ensuring system reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for data center operations, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and power supplies.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and security standards relevant to the payment processing industry.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing training, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to optimize infrastructure and support business needs.
  • Develop and manage the data center budget, including procurement of hardware, software, and services.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for maintenance, upgrades, and security audits.
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensure physical and cybersecurity measures are in place to protect critical data and infrastructure.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends to enhance data center efficiency and scalability.

  • Strong knowledge of data center technologies, including networking, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and ITIL.
  • Proven experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring tools and data center management software.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is an advantage.
