Job Description/Requirements

Fhemfel Group is seeking a detailed oriented Accountant to join its finance department. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks and have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Salary: N200,000 - N230,000

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded in QuickBooks .
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions for accuracy.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, VAT, and other statutory financial obligations.
  • Conduct periodic audits and support external auditors during financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate documentation of expenses and invoices.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA ) is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
