What Youll Do:

As the Community & Growth Manager, youll be the face and voice of Droomwork, responsible for building and nurturing a vibrant community of freelancers and clients while driving growth through strategic campaigns and tools management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Building:
  • Engage with freelancers and clients across social media platforms, forums, and online communities to foster meaningful connections.
  • Develop strategies to grow our community of freelancers and attract high-quality U.S. clients.
  • Organize and host virtual events, webinars, and Q&A sessions to build trust and engagement.
  • Growth Initiatives:
  • Develop and execute campaigns to drive user acquisition and retention.
  • Manage referral programs, loyalty initiatives, and growth loops to scale our platform.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiment with new ideas to optimize for growth.
  • Tools Management:
  • Use and manage tools like HubSpot, Mailchimp and others to run campaigns and streamline workflows.
  • Track performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
  • Stay on top of emerging tools and trends that can improve community engagement and growth efforts.
  • Support & Engagement:
  • Be the go-to point of contact for the Droomwork community, responding to questions, resolving issues, and collecting feedback to improve the user experience.
  • Advocate for our users internally and help the product team prioritize features based on community feedback.

What Were Looking For:

Were seeking a motivated, tech-savvy individual who can thrive in a startup setting and take full ownership of community and growth initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3+ years in community management, growth marketing, or a similar role in a startup or lean environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in managing marketing, social media, and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, and more).
  • Startup Mindset: Comfortable working with limited resources, wearing multiple hats, and delivering results quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling messaging and foster relationships.
  • Data-Driven: Ability to analyze metrics and make data-informed decisions.
  • Channel Expertise: Proven experience with paid ads (Google, LinkedIn, Instagram), SEO, email marketing, and social media.
  • Passion for Droomwork: Belief in our mission and enthusiasm for connecting African freelancers with global opportunities.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the gig economy, freelance marketplaces, or tech startups.
  • Knowledge of the African freelancer ecosystem and U.S. client preferences.
  • Familiarity with community platforms like Discord, Slack, or Reddit.
