As a Senior Java Developer at our B2B SaaS Fintech outfit, your main purpose will be to build functional and efficient server-side applications. Leveraging your expertise in Java development, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of our financial technology platform.

You will report to the Head of Software Engineering, who will provide guidance and support as you work towards achieving project goals and meeting client requirements. The Head of Software Engineering will offer mentorship and opportunities for professional growth, ensuring that you stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Building efficient server-side (back-end) features in Java (Spring Boot) - APIs

Manage testing and bug fixes

Integrating front-end components into applications

Help design and implement functional requirements

Checking code from other developers and coaching junior team members

Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle

Create high-quality products that meet customer needs.

Prepare technical documentation

Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements

Qualifications

Solid experience as Java Developer

Experience with Spring Boot Framework, and Hibernate

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Open Shift and REST API

Understanding of databases and SQL

Knowledge of C#, NodeJS, Python and React is a plus.

Leadership skills

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
