Job Description We seek a Finance & Strategy Business Partner to oversee financial operations, strategic planning, and business performance across our Francophone market. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, tax policies, and economic environments in Francophone countries, ensuring effective decision-making and business growth. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between the finance department, operations, and senior management, providing financial insights, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to drive business performance Key Responsibilities: Qualifications
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets for businesses in Francophone countries.
- Conduct financial performance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support business decisions.
- Provide profitability analysis for different business units, contracts, and projects.
- Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with country managers and operational teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Support senior leadership with strategic financial insights to drive growth in Francophone markets.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives to improve margins and ensure financial sustainability.
- Advise on investment decisions, expansion strategies, and risk mitigation for business operations in the region.
- Financial Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial reporting standards (OHADA), and statutory requirements in Francophone countries.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial misstatements.
- Monitor key financial KPIs and propose corrective actions when necessary.
- Business Performance & Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.
- Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity for regional operations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the finance liaison between Nigerian headquarters and Francophone country operations.
- Partner with external stakeholders, banks, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Build strong relationships with local business leaders to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Risk Management & Cost Control:
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Review contracts, tenders, and agreements from a financial perspective to minimize risks and maximize profitability.
- Develop cost optimization strategies to improve overall financial performance.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify and implement best practices in financial processes and reporting.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including ERP and financial system enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting accuracy.
- Other Responsibilities
- Prepareand/or review entries for posting in the Accounting system.
- Reconcile accounts payables and receivables
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Masters degree (MBA, MSc) or professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CPA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in financial management, strategy, and business partnering, preferably within Facility Management, Construction, Real Estate, or related industries.
- Candidate must be fluent in French & English (both spoken and written).
- Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, OHADA accounting standards, and taxation in Francophone countries.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of facility management operations, contracts, and cost structures.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, SAGE, or similar) and financial modeling tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a multicultural and cross-border environment. Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to Francophone countries as needed for business operations.
