Hotel Manager

Job Summary

The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, budgets, and resources while implementing strategies to enhance the hotels market presence and profitability. The Hotel Manager will lead the hotels operational strategies to improve guest experiences, optimize revenue, and maintain high standards of service. This role is crucial for ensuring that all departments work cohesively to achieve the hotels objectives.

Main Duties

o Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring adherence to service standards.

o Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

o Ensure effective communication between departments for seamless operations.

o Monitor and analyze operational processes to identify areas for improvement.

o Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.

o Enhance guest experience through personalized services and attention to detail.

o Address guest complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.

o Develop programs to improve guest loyalty and retention.

o Organize special events or promotions to attract guests and enhance their experience.

o Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.

o Monitor financial performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

o Oversee procurement processes to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

o Analyze financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.

o Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to develop promotional strategies.

o Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

o Foster relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and local businesses.

o Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote the hotel.

o Ensure compliance with all local laws, health regulations, and safety standards.

o Implement emergency procedures and conduct regular safety drills.

o Maintain appropriate licenses and certifications required for hotel operations.

o Cultivate a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

o Provide ongoing training programs for staff development in customer service excellence.

o Conduct regular performance reviews to support employee growth.

o Develop and implement sustainability programs aimed at reducing the hotels environmental impact.

o Promote energy-saving practices among staff and guests.

Requirements

· Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management or related roles.

· Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in hotel management software systems.

Salary

N200,000.00 - N300,000.00 monthly
