Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Internal Control Manager to join Dang Lifestyle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the internal control systems to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and optimize operational efficiency. In addition, this role will oversee the inventory management processes , ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and safeguarding of inventory across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Control Management

• Design and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Evaluate and improve the efficiency of existing policies, procedures, and controls.

• Monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of any identified issues.

• Prepare and present periodic internal control reports to senior management.

Inventory Management Oversight

• Develop and oversee inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.

• Regularly review and analyze inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

• Coordinate inventory audits (physical counts and cycle counts) to validate inventory accuracy.

• Establish inventory KPIs and monitor performance against them.

• Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to streamline inventory operations.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory losses, shrinkage, or theft.

Collaboration and Training

• Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control policies and inventory management best practices.

• Work cross-functionally with various departments to align operational processes with internal controls.

Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and efficiency within the organization.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Internal Control KPIs

• Audit Findings: Number of internal and external audit issues raised and resolved.

• Compliance Rate: Percentage adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Risk Management: Reduction in identified risks over time (e.g., fraud or control lapses).

• Process Improvement: Number of policies/processes updated or improved annually.

• Timeliness of Reporting: Internal control reports delivered within the set deadlines.

Inventory Management KPIs

• Inventory Accuracy: Percentage of accurate inventory records versus physical counts.

• Shrinkage Rate: Percentage of inventory shrinkage reduced over time.

• Stock Turnover: Frequency of inventory turnover compared to industry benchmarks.

• Order Fulfillment Rate: Percentage of customer orders fulfilled without stockouts or delays.

• Discrepancy Resolution Time: Average time to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Training and Culture KPIs

• Training Completion Rate: Percentage of employees trained on internal controls and inventory procedures.

• Policy Adoption: Rate of adherence to updated internal control and inventory policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or ACCA (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal control, audit, or inventory management roles.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and ERP tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
