Job Summary

As a Tour Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expert advice to clients seeking travel and tour packages. Your primary goal will be to create memorable and enjoyable travel experiences for our clients while ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients to understand their travel preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Provide recommendations and advice on suitable travel destinations, tour packages, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
  • Prepare and present detailed itineraries to clients, including information on attractions, activities, and costs.
  • Make reservations for flights, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
  • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, local guides, and other service providers to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
  • Assist clients with visa applications, travel insurance, and any necessary documentation.
  • Stay updated on travel trends, new destinations, and industry developments to provide up-to-date information to clients.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote tour packages and attract new clients.
  • Conduct research and gather feedback to continuously improve the quality of tour packages and services offered.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to the travel industry.

Requirements:

  • HND/Bachelors Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, or any related field.
  • 1 year of proven work experience as a Tour Consultant/Vacation Expert or in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of various travel destinations, attractions, and tour packages.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong marketing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in itinerary preparation and reservation bookings.
    • Proficiency in using computer reservation systems and travel planning software

Remuneration: NGN 120,000 (Starting Salary)
