Project Manager (Civil Engineering & Interior Architectural Design Expert)

Our client is into interior designs based in Lagos Ikoyi. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organization of key client projects.

As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a projects organization and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Coordination

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the coordination between civil engineering and interior design teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.

2. Client Communication and Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Translate client requirements into actionable project deliverables.

3. Team Leadership

• Supervise multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure project goals are met.

4. Technical Oversight

• Ensure structural integrity and compliance with civil engineering standards.
• Oversee interior architectural designs to ensure aesthetics and functionality.

5. Budget Management

• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

6. Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.

7. Risk Management

• Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate delays, cost overruns, or design challenges.

8. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including blueprints, progress reports, and approval records.
• Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project status.

9. Vendor and Material Management

• Select and manage vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid delays.

10. Innovation and Sustainability

• Implement innovative design solutions and sustainable practices in civil engineering and interior design projects.

Key Requirements

1. Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.

2. Experience

• Proven experience in managing civil engineering and interior design projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful project completion.

3. Technical Proficiency

• Proficiency in design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and structural systems.

4. Leadership and Communication Skills

• Strong leadership abilities to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions.

5. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

• Ability to anticipate challenges and make informed decisions under pressure.

6. Time and Budget Management

• Expertise in handling tight schedules and budgets without compromising quality.

7. Knowledge of Regulations and Standards

• In-depth understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.

8. Attention to Detail

• Keen eye for detail to ensure quality and consistency in both engineering and design aspects.

9. Adaptability

• Ability to adapt to changing project scopes and client demands.

10. Sustainability Awareness

• Familiarity with green building practices and sustainable design principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₦250,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
