We are seeking a talented and passionate Ruby on Rails Developer to join our remote development team. In this role, you will work on designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust web applications. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and love solving complex problems, this position is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand project requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices.
  • Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews, debug issues, and implement necessary updates or fixes.
  • Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Work with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • A Senior Developer with a work history of building scalable products from scratch.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing back-end of products in Ruby on Rails with a SQL database, ideally PostgreSQL Experience building and managing integrations with popular applications a plus
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Docker).
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like RSpec or Capybara.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Previous experience working in a remote team setup.
