Interior Design Architect

Our client is an Interior Design Firm located in IVI Lagos. They are currently in need of an experienced Interior Design Architect who would be responsible for planning and designing buildings while keeping in mind the needs of the project. He/She responsibilities would be:

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development: Create innovative and functional interior design concepts based on client needs, aesthetics, and spatial planning.
• Space Planning: Optimize interior spaces for functionality, flow, and efficiency while maintaining aesthetics.
• Architectural Drawings & 3D Renderings: Develop detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, and 3D visualizations using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.).
• Material & Finish Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Budgeting & Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates for materials, labor, and other expenses.
• Client Presentations: Present design concepts, mood boards, and proposals to clients for approval.
• Site Supervision: Oversee project progress, ensuring construction aligns with the approved design.
• Sustainability & Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design practices and modern trends into projects.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
• Experience: Prior experience in interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Creativity & Aesthetic Sense: Strong design vision with an eye for color, texture, and spatial balance.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for client interactions and teamwork.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in drafting, design specifications, and site supervision.
• Knowledge of Building Codes: Familiarity with local and international building regulations and safety standards.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
