Position: Driver

Summary: As a Driver, your primary responsibility is to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently to transport passengers, goods, or equipment to designated locations. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and reliable transportation of people or goods while maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Operation of Vehicle: Operate the vehicle in a safe and defensive manner, adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicles mechanical condition is sound.Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate authorities.

• Transporting Passengers or Goods:Transport passengers to their destinations in a timely and courteous manner.

Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, if necessary.Transport goods or packages to designated locations, ensuring their safe handling during loading and unloading.

• Route Planning and Navigation: Plan the most efficient and suitable routes to reach destinations promptly.

Utilize navigation tools or GPS devices to ensure accurate navigation.

• Adherence to Schedules: Maintain punctuality and adhere to set schedules for passenger pick-ups and drop-offs or goods deliveries.

Notify relevant parties in case of any delays or changes in the schedule.

• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, respectful, and accommodating to passengers or clients.

Assist passengers or clients with their needs and answer any inquiries they may have.

• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during the journey.

Complete necessary paperwork or documentation, such as logbooks, as required.

• Compliance and Safety: Comply with all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

Ensure the safety of passengers or goods at all times.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.

Report any vehicle maintenance requirements promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license for the appropriate vehicle class (e.g., regular, commercial, passenger).
• Clean driving record with no history of major violations or accidents.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Physical fitness to sit, stand, and operate the vehicle for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦70,000.00 - ₦100,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Drivers license (Required)
