Our client is Africas leading innovative media company, informing and engaging Africas young audience and producing content and creative digital marketing solutions for top brands. They are also a marketing partner, empowering brands with our expansive media reach and 360-degree in-house marketing solutions. Due to expansion, they need a Vice President - Events, Brand & Partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand the companys flagship events, establishing them as premier experiences that drive audience engagement, brand partnerships, and revenue.
  • Develop creative themes and experiences that reinforce the companys brand identity, positioning events as foundational in the companys D2C and community strategy.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the companys mission, boosting visibility and credibility across the continent.
  • Implement CRM and audience engagement strategies to support community growth, using events to build meaningful connections.
  • Develop and manage budgets for events and partnerships, ensuring resources are used effectively to maximize impact.
  • Track and report on financial performance and ROI for events and partnerships, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet financial targets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on events, branding, partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and high standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, event planning, or partnership development, preferably within a high-growth or multinational context.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and brand visibility through strategic partnerships, high-profile events, and community initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities, with experience building partnerships with major brands, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and CRM tools to drive audience engagement and support community-building efforts.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess brand impact and audience engagement.
